Over the last seven years of operating around the South of Lombok we have collected a vast amount of data on wholesale land transactions. The pricing in the graph below has been converted to hard currency and is wholesale land, meaning un-serviced and over 5,000sqm. One important consideration when purchasing un-serviced land ensuring there is adequate water and proximity to the power grid. Digging bores and putting in off-grid power is a hugely expensive exercise if done on a small scale.
Whilst the growth rates have slowed from previous years unsustainable levels the value proposition compared to Bali is compelling. As infrastructure is improved, airlift increases and demand for Lombok as an alternative holiday destination to Bali increases the investment case for South Lombok remains strong.
