June 2018 Update

Peak season has well and truly begun with cloudless skies, pristine water and travellers making the most of the weather. Staff have been busy catering to the guests of the 11 operational villas and we are looking forward to another 2 villas coming online this month.

We are excited to be collaborating with Bali Event Styling to host 2 weddings. The bridal party and guests are renting out the entire resort villas and the ceremony will be on our wedding deck overlooking the incredible view of Selong Belanak Bay.

With the Resort getting busier we have hired more staff, including a new head chef and F&B manager to continue to improve the levels of services and quality of food. Healthy food, activities such as Waterfall tours, Surfing, Kite Surfing, Snorkelling around the South Gillies and then of course expanding our spa menu is a focus to help round out our offering. We are looking to do our first Health & Wellness camp in October and are finalising our mountain bike trail through the development.

A view to eternity...
This month we are showcasing one of our earliest villas to be built within Selong Selo Resort & Residences, the amazing and unique Villa Agia.  A modern marvel stepped into the hillside, with soaring views to the oceans horizon. Centre your day around the infinity pool and lawn, eating, drinking, swimming, lounging. Then retreat to your private sleeping quarters and luxuriate in your grand tub as you gaze out to the sapphire blue sea.  Villa Agia is your ultimate getaway retreat.

The beautiful Villa Agia commands jaw-dropping views of Selong Belanak beyond the large infinity pool on the entrance level.

The broad expansive lawn is perfect for entertaining and private in-villa dining, and for the kids to play and expend some energy.

This unique 2 bedroom villa is divided into separate living/sleeping sections, stepped into the hill over three levels. The two bedrooms both have king sized beds and unobstructed views. The master bedroom quarters has its own lounge area, and the bedroom also has an enclave with two child-sized beds, perfect for families who want to keep the little ones close by. Sliding walls in the master ensuite bathroom open to reveal the incredible view over Selong Belanak Bay.

'Waste to Wealth' Seminar visits Selong Selo...

Selong Selo was one of the host venues for the Australian Consulate-led Environmentally Sustainable Seminar “Waste to Wealth” in Indonesia.

The Australian Consular General and key Indonesian academics, as well as a “waste to art” environmental artist were in attendance.  Attendees were toured through the resort and the waste management facility, showcasing Selong Selo’s focus on maintaining zero waste, and becoming carbon negative.
One of the highlights of the tour was a demonstration of The Shruder; a waste plastics shredding/extrusion machine, which allows the shredded plastics to be processed and repurposed into paving stones.

Inspiring home of the week: House built for wellness in Indonesia â€“ This cube-shaped stone home built in the idyllic setting of Lombok island, Indonesia, is named “Maleo” after the region’s local bird species, and sits neatly overlooking the Jabon hills and the golden sands of Selong Belanak beach.
